THE MAN BEHIND THE WORK

I HAD TO
START, TOO.

I’m Eric McElrath. I don’t coach from a place of perfection. I coach from a place of showing up.

A TURNING POINT.
NOT A QUICK FIX.

In 2023, a serious stroke-like health issue carried into 2024. At 424 pounds, with depression at its highest, life felt at a breaking point. I sought therapy and tried to lose weight. It wasn’t easy.

Then my daughter wanted to lose weight for her senior prom dress. I told her she wasn’t doing it alone. My wife joined in. We counted calories and steps, and I began learning more about training.

That led me to ISSA certifications in personal training and bodybuilding. Early mornings at the gym became part of my life. I kept showing up and learned to love the work.

“Learning as I go showing up 6/7 days a week at 5 am i stayed consistent when motivation quit showing up.”

CONNECTION
MATTERS.

Outside the gym, I’m a father and I play video games to unwind. That’s also how I stay connected with friends who live out of state. That connection matters to how I coach: you shouldn’t feel like you’re figuring everything out alone. I want to be present, encourage you, and help you build your own ability.

Fitness and mental health both shaped my story. Personal training isn’t therapy or medical care. It is a place to learn, build a routine, and have someone in your corner.
